Entry and Dismissal Procedures
 Students are to enter through the doors that lead to the playground area. Students may begin to enter the building at 8:15 a.m. for breakfast. School begins at 8:30 a.m. Students will proceed to their classes under the supervision of the staff of Thomas G. Hayes. During inclement weather, students will be permitted to wait in the auditorium at 8:15 a.m. (if they are not eating breakfast).
 The teachers will walk students to the doors that lead to the playground and dismiss from that area. Parents and older siblings may pick up students from outside. Kindergarten students may be picked up at their classrooms or at the side doors (on the right of the building when entering from the playground). Pre-kindergarten students may be picked up at the playground connected to the pre-kindergarten classroom.
Parents or legal guardians must report to the office and sign students out for early dismissal. They should sign the early dismissal book and students will be called to the office with their things to go home. ABSOLUTELY NO CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 18 WILL BE PERMITTED TO SIGN STUDENTS OUT FOR EARLY DISMISSAL.
